Unlimited game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is primarily famous for the abundance of age-old baobabs and big families of elephants gathering in the vicinity of the main water source – the Tarangire River. Besides baby elephants and their parents the Tarangire is home to zebras, giraffes, hyenas, wart-hogs, buffalos and many other predators and ungulates. The park will also be a treat for bird enthusiasts. More than 550 bird species abiding in the Tarangire National Park present ample opportunity for bird watching: brightly plumaged yellow necked spurfowls, white crowned shrikes and black necked weavers are among the most frequent sightings here. Vast rolling grasslands, thick acacia bush, baobab and palm trees featuring the unique Tarangire landscape will leave a lasting imprint on your memory.

  1. Outstanding itinerary between national parks and Zanzibar. Our tour guide/driver Simon ‘Safari Monster’ was fantastic.

  2. Simon “The Safari Monster” went above and beyond to make our week in Tanzania an invaluable and unforgettable experience. We were able to see all of the big five (and more)! He is not only knowledgeable and a skilled driver, but also kind (both to animals and people), hard working, humble, flexible, entertaining, patient and charming. Our group of 7 absolutely adored him! I highly recommend you book your tour with Safari Soles and request Simon The Safari Monster! He will exceed your expectations!

  3. Soles Safari Tours was great to work with; especially Magreth was amazing to sort out the right arrangements. We chose to go with this tour operator after 3 other competitive offers as they tried the hardest to accommodate our wishes and were fair with their pricing. Our 8-day safari trip started after a night in Arusha with Tarangiri National Park (nice as an introduction to Tanzania), then 2 nights at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge to explore Lake Manyara, which is a difficult place for wildlife viewing due to dense bush and forest.
Thereafter, we went for two nights to Lake Ndutu Tented Lodge (great experience!), and finally two nights on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, staying at the Serena Lodge (note: mass tourism lodge).

Our driver, Raymond, was friendly, a good problem solver (fixing car problems while in the wilderness), and flexible with the daily schedule. However, given that this wasn’t our first safari and we are sophisticated travellers, we would have liked more briefings and details or stories (what to expect the next day, more details about the environment, etc). A bit more engagement would have made this trip more special.

Overall, we would certainly recommend Soles Tours as reliable, flexible and responsive tour operators. We felt we were in good hands – Asante sana!
