Royal Alcazar of Seville private tour
Our official guides will be proud to show you one of the world's largest and spectacular monuments.
A unique building that gather such variety of artistic and architectural styles: from Islamic times until today.
This is the perfect example of the historic and cultural evolution that Seville lived through the course of centuries.
This palace was originally built under the will of Cordobese Caliph Abderramán III.
Successively was then extended and modified both by Muslims and Christians kings; among these last ones, Peter I, commissioned the construction of his own palace, a perfect example of Mudéjar architecture, unique and recognized in the whole world.
The Catholics Kings, Fernando and Isabel, left their own signature with some impressive example of Renaissance style and lately in times, Charles the V, with amazing Baroque influences.
Probably though, despite the fascinating courtyards, the royal bedrooms and the astonishing galleries, the most spectacular treasure that the Alcázar has to offer to its visitors, are the Gardens.
Originally conceived as orchards for the benefit of the Muslims kings, were successively reformed during Renaissance turning them into Greco-Roman style gardens.
At the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries, a touch of British and French Romantic style was then added to the whole area, giving a unique and well blended architectural mix to the whole area.
Obviously these Gardens also hide countless secrets, tales and love stories between kings and queens, princes and princesses, courtiers and courtesans and not just them.
Similar stories are to be told alongside the Walls, and this time, not just about lovers, but also palace's intrigues between kings and nobles, homicides, up to religious and miraculous tales.
You will discover all these stories and visit this majestic building in our guided tour, and you'll understand why the citizens of Seville are so proud of this monument: The Royal Alcázar.
The oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, official residence of the Spanish Royal Family in the city of Seville.

I visited the Alcazar 2 decades ago unaccompanied by a guide so I didn’t learn much about its history. I am fortunate enough to come back to Seville again Sept 2023 and this time, visiting the Alcazar with an amazing tour guide Sofia. She was knowledgeable, focused, and approachable. Our group of 6 asked many questions, and Sofia not only had the depth of historical knowledge, but she also related them to current events and present-day conditions. It was definitely worth the 2-3 hours that we spent with Sofia. It’s not enough to simply take Insta photos. Get yourself a guide, and for that, hire Sofia.
Wonderful tour excellent guide! She was very helpful shopping and restaurant advice. She continued to make sure we were enjoying our time even after the tour.
Sofía gave us a fantastic tour complete with all of the history of alcazar. She communicated with me before and after the trip, answering my questions about what to see in Sevilla during the short time we were there. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to make sure we had the best tour of the Alcazar of Sevilla. I highly recommend her for any tour in Sevilla!
