Giralda and Cathedral of Seville private tour

2 hours Easy Private
6 reviews
A visit to the Andalusian capital is not complete without being able to appreciate from within one of the most emblematic and iconic symbols of this city: the Cathedral of Seville.

Built over an Almohad mosque from the 12th century, it was successively enlarged to its current incredible size at the beginning of the 20th century.

The quintessential symbol of the Christian reconquest in the Iberian Peninsula, and considered the largest Gothic church in the world, the Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Sede is a unique place, where culture and religion intersect in an intricate path of architecture and stories that they will leave you speechless.

We will teach you why some remains of the Muslim temple survived to this day, while others disappeared completely. We will explain the name and functions of the main entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta del Perdón, the Puerta del Lagarto or the Puerta de San Cristóbal. You will enjoy a walk in the famous Patio de los Naranjos de la Catedral, a symbolic and typical place of Seville and you will enter among the incredible architectural works inside, the tombs of famous people, such as Cristobál Colón, his son or King Fernando III of Castilla.

You can enter numerous chapels, and you can even see the famous Royal Chapel from outside.

In addition to being able to admire numerous paintings by Baroque master icons, such as the famous Sevillian painter Murillo, some of his most emblematic paintings continue to decorate the main Sevillian place of worship today. We will explain its peculiar form of construction and the secrets that surround this colossal monument, a symbol of Christianity.

If you wish, included in the price, you can climb to the top of the tower symbol of this city: La Giralda. The old Almohad minaret, almost entirely, maintains its original shape. Proud survivor of the battles, earthquakes, and events that affected the city of Seville, this tower offers spectacular views of the capital of Seville, hiding within its walls some stories that our guides will be able to tell you.

Enjoy with us a unique cultural visit accompanied by our expert guides, who will make you understand the importance of this monument, a symbol of the golden centuries of the city of Seville.

  1. The visits we made were great, especially Mari Paz, our tour guide, she made the visit very pleasant and enjoyable

  2. Embarrassing experience. I had never experienced anything like this, anywhere in the world. Bad in the agency and terrible treatment from the guide.
They humiliated and mistreated us, making the experience to forget and never repeat again with friends who came from Canada.

  3. We had the Tour with Jesus and it was wonderful. Everything well explained, unhurried, very enjoyable and with very interesting curiosities. I would definitely repeat the experience.
