I think this is a very personal preference.We had perfect weather’s nice crew and a clean ship. We could hear the audio without a problem. But I saw more than one person dozing off by the end.It was a little boring for me, because we had walked the entire city seascape one day and had covered many sites ,albeit not from a boat.
We used Royal cruises. I would recommend it, but it wa s not a highlight.
I loved the boat tour and saw parts of Helsinki that are not visible from the tour bus.
There is an open deck upstairs but I chose to sit at a comfortable table inside and view the sites through large windows. I could hear the speaker informing us about all of the sites. They also offer a large buffet and drinks onboard.
I would certainly recommend enjoying Helsinki from the water!
I recommend this trip, weather was good, staff was extra nice, audio description was good, I give it 10/10! But be sure to bring windproof jacket with You.
